We’re pleased to introduce Deliverable D3.1, which presents the architecture and semantic foundations of ANALYST-DIGI, the digital platform at the core of the ANALYST project’s Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) mission.
This deliverable outlines two critical pillars:
🧠 The ANALYST Ontology
A machine-readable, formal vocabulary that enables seamless data exchange, automated reasoning, and consistent interpretation across health, environmental, economic, and social dimensions. It ensures that all stakeholders, from researchers to AI systems, can "speak the same language."
💻 The Platform Architecture
ANALYST-DIGI is built around three interconnected components:
OA Platform: A secure, browser-based, cloud-native data hub
DMDMS Tool: A decision engine that uses enriched datasets and multi-criteria scoring
ANALYST Ontology: The semantic backbone enabling data integration and interpretation
Together, these components create a modular, open-source solution that can grow with evolving SSbD needs, supporting data-driven decision-making across the plastics value chain.
The architecture is designed with open standards (REST, SPARQL, Docker), ensuring scalability and interoperability with future projects and tools. Development is openly documented and version-controlled via GitHub.
D3.1 provides a concise yet comprehensive briefing tailored for external audiences, making the ANALYST-DIGI concept both accessible and actionable for researchers, policymakers, and industry partners.
