Meet Fotini Nikiforou – Member of the ANALYST Advisory Board
The ANALYST Project is pleased to welcome Fotini Nikiforou to its Advisory Board. As a dedicated researcher in Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD), Fotini brings valuable expertise in chemical innovation, risk assessment, and the development of practical tools to support sustainable chemical design.
Current Roles
Fotini is a PhD Researcher at the Environmental Engineering Laboratory (EnvE-Lab) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), where she focuses on integrating SSbD principles into chemical design and evaluation.
She is actively involved in European research programmes, most notably:

PARC Project – contributing to the development of the PARC SSbD Toolbox

INSIGHT Project – supporting innovation in chemical safety and sustainability

With a background in Chemical Engineering, Fotini’s research spans:
